MAG Projects

We've achieved an enviable reputation for research and teaching excellence.

The Gurmani Foundation is dedicated to providing scholarships to students in need within the Thatta Gurmani area and the surrounding regions of District Muzaffargarh. Priority is given to students from Thatta Gurmani and the immediate vicinity. If vacancies remain after accommodating these students, applications from other nearby areas are considered.

Our Career Counseling office plays a crucial role in evaluating scholarship applications and guiding students towards their future educational paths. This office not only reviews scholarship cases but also provides valuable career advice. Moreover, it actively refers students to other institutions for additional scholarship opportunities, having established Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with these institutions to prioritize cases recommended by the Gurmani Foundation.

Under the Undergraduate Scholarship Program, the Gurmani Foundation annually sponsors over 50 students, covering 100% of their university fees. These students pursue their higher education in various universities across Pakistan, contributing to the Foundation's commitment to fostering education and empowering deserving individuals.

Established in 2018 under the management of The Indus Hospital Network Directorate, Karachi, this hospital operates through a formal agreement duly signed with The Gurmani Foundation. The Gurmani Foundation shoulders the entire operational and management costs associated with The Indus Hospital in Karachi. As a result, the local community receives medical facilities without incurring any fees, and essential medicines are provided free of charge.

Moreover, our commitment extends to providing free lab test facilities to our patients. The hospital offers comprehensive medical services, including mental health, gynecology, internal medicine, and first aid. Our outpatient department (OPD) efficiently caters to the healthcare needs of approximately 180 to 200 patients daily. This significant contribution of medical services to the community not only enhances health outcomes but also translates into substantial economic benefits for the residents.

Addressing the educational needs of an area where financial constraints hinder access to quality college education, Gurmani Foundation took the initiative to establish the "Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani Science College" for both boys and girls. The college, located on the main Gurmani Road in District Muzaffargarh, was completed in March 2022. The inaugural admissions for the first academic year began in April 2022, welcoming an impressive enrollment of 623 students.

During the first year, 587 students participated in the intermediate part-I examinations, achieving remarkable success with 493 students passing at an impressive 84%. Notably, one student secured the 3rd position in the DG Khan division for the year 2023.

The Gurmani Foundation, recognizing the financial challenges faced by the community, covers the entire operational cost of the college. In an effort to ensure accessibility, the college charges a minimal fee, significantly lower than other institutions. This nominal fee not only aids in providing transportation facilities to students but also contributes to covering various other essential expenses. The commitment of Gurmani Foundation to quality education is evident through its dedication to providing an affordable and enriching learning environment for the students of the community.

The Gurmani Foundation has made a significant philanthropic contribution by donating Rs. 50 million to establish an Endowment Fund at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). This fund generates income, which is strategically utilized to sustain the operations of the Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani Research Centre for Urdu, Arabic, and Persian at LUMS. Through this endowment, the Foundation ensures the continued functioning and growth of the research center, fostering scholarly pursuits in the fields of Urdu, Arabic, and Persian studies.

The Gurmani Foundation has made a substantial commitment by contributing shares valued at Rs. One Billion to establish an Endowment Fund under the National Management Foundation, specifically benefiting Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). The generated income from this Endowment Fund plays a pivotal role in supporting the ongoing National Outreach Program at LUMS, aimed at providing financial assistance to the most economically disadvantaged students. Additionally, the fund may be allocated for other Board of Governors-approved financial support programs and furthering the objectives of the Gurmani Foundation.

In recognition of the exceptional contributions of Nawab Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani, the School of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Law at LUMS has been aptly named the "Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences." This honorary naming reflects the Foundation's commitment to acknowledging and perpetuating the legacy of Nawab Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani.

The Gurmani Foundation, driven by a commitment to humanitarian aid and community welfare, displayed profound generosity by contributing a substantial amount of Rs. 4 million. This contribution was directed towards The Citizens Foundation's pivotal "Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Program for Earthquake Victims." This strategic funding played a crucial role in facilitating the construction of ten permanent houses, serving as a beacon of hope and providing essential support to families profoundly impacted by the earthquake.

The initiative aimed not only at the physical reconstruction of homes but also at the holistic rehabilitation of deserving families who had suffered the devastating consequences of the earthquake. Through the construction of these permanent houses, the Gurmani Foundation sought to offer a tangible and sustainable solution, ensuring that affected families could regain a sense of stability and security in the aftermath of the seismic event. This philanthropic gesture reflects the foundation's unwavering dedication to contributing positively to the lives of those in need during times of crisis and natural disasters.

In a collaborative effort with the Bali Memorial Trust, the Gurmani Foundation took a proactive stance to address the aftermath of the 2008 floods. Utilizing its land in Thatta Gurmani, the foundation and the Bali Memorial Trust joined forces to construct a total of 100 houses. This initiative was a dedicated response to providing sustainable housing solutions for families severely affected by the devastating floods of 2008. The collaborative project aimed not only to offer immediate relief but also to contribute to the long-term rehabilitation and recovery of the flood-affected families, providing them with a secure and stable place to call home.

The Gurmani Foundation is actively engaged in supporting educational endeavors by providing consistent monthly donations to a school, thus contributing to its ongoing operational expenses. This sustained financial assistance ensures the smooth functioning of the school, allowing it to maintain high educational standards and provide valuable learning experiences to its students.

In addition to these regular contributions, the foundation has demonstrated its commitment to broader philanthropy by extending one-time donations to various other institutions. These singular contributions serve diverse purposes, ranging from supporting specific projects to addressing immediate needs within the community. By diversifying its donations to encompass both ongoing commitments and one-time contributions, the Gurmani Foundation showcases a versatile and impactful approach to philanthropy, thereby making a meaningful difference in various sectors and institutions.

The Gurmani Foundation, in a commendable effort to support educational and community initiatives, has generously allocated space within its Lahore premises. This dedicated area serves as the operational base for the Al-Huda Islamic Institute for Women, located at 44-G, Gulberg-II, Lahore. The Gurmani Foundation is actively engaged in offering mainstream education to specifically chosen students attending the "Abu Huraira" Madrasa for males and the "Zia ul Quran" Madrasa for females located near Adda Gurmani. In a comprehensive show of support, the foundation provides essential resources in-kind, including books, stationery, computers, uniforms, school bags, and directly transfers teachers' salaries to their respective bank accounts. This multifaceted assistance underscores the foundation's commitment to promoting holistic education and facilitating a conducive learning environment for students in these madrasas.
